Born on the 15th of September 1971 in Augsburg/Germany

Father Dr. Jens Niggemeyer, Mother: Norma Sharp, soprano.

Raised and educated in Germany.

First own theater experience: Title role in school play: Der Meisterdieb

Since 6th grade pantomime workshops, circus.

Instruments: Guitar (accoustic/electric), piano

First own musical theatre experience 1987 Brecht/Weill: "Dreigroschenoper" and Purcell "Dido&Aeneas".

First voice teacher: Maria Zahlten-Hall.

Other voice teachers: Roger Winell, Heidelberg; Prof. Armand McLaine, Frankfurt; George Fortune, Berlin.

1992-1999 studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler". In the class of my mother, Prof. Norma Sharp.

Current voice teacher: Prof. Rudolf Pirnay, Mannheim

Important influences during my studies: Hans Hotter, Wolfram Rieger, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

1997-99 first engagement in Hildesheim as lyric baritone. Debut as Pantalon in "The Love For Three Oranges".

Biggest successes there as: Papageno, Figaro (Barber Of Seville)

Freelancer since 1999 (many performances in Italy, also: USA, Arabic Emirates, Finland).

Married since 2004.

Father of a daughter, Isabella.

Other interests :cooking, composition, computer (Webdesign, Internet, Games), sports (Badminton, Golf)
